Pet Friendly Holidays in Cornwall

Dogs playing on beach

Dogs and cats are most welcome and treated as special guests at Tremaine Green. So don’t spoil your holiday worrying about your dog incarcerated in boarding kennels! We have also had other pet guests including Macaws, parrots etc.

There are plenty of walks nearby and you can walk your dog though the fields and lanes to our local dog friendly pubs.

“Our dog Jess loves it here. He has even learnt how to swim! Thank you Justin and Penny for treating our dog as one of your guests. See you again next year”.

Jack Russel in bluebellsCornwall is incredibly dog friendly. There is a lovely smuggler’s cove down our lane which is very popular with our guests. We also have other dog friendly beaches nearby as well as forest walks, the wide open expanse of Bodmin Moor and of course the spectacular Coastal Path. We can recommend all sorts of walks (often with a nice pub at the end!) for those able bodied or for those who find going up hill a little bit of a struggle.

Doggy Day Care. If you want to have a doggy free day there is an excellent boarding kennels just down the lane from us. They provide fun, fresh air and exercise for your dog and have large grass play paddocks. Visit their website www.pelyntkennels.co.uk or telephone 01503 220915 if you wish to book in advance.

Westie on the beachRules. We do ask that dogs be kept under control (on a lead as necessary) around Tremaine Green, for the benefit of other dog owners and our ducks, which wander around the grounds and cottages. We request that dogs are not allowed on the furnishings or allowed in the bedroom areas. They should also not be left in a cottage unattended for more than an hour. There is a dog waste bin on the premises. If you wish to use the excellent local kennels at Pelynt please remember to bring a current vaccination certificate, particularly for kennel cough, or the kennels may not be able to take your pet.
